Tuzla Airport (TZL), a Wizz Air low-cost base, is about 10 km from central Tuzla near Dubrave. For many travellers it's their first entry point into Bosnia. The ride into town is short, but taxi supply can be tight when a big flight lands, so queues form.

What the drive is actually like
The airport is at Dubrave, about ten kilometres from central Tuzla towards Živinice, and the drive is short and flat. The terminal is small: one exit, one line of cars, and everything happens in a burst after a landing, with nothing in between.
Agree the fare before leaving - prices at the airport tend to get rounded up. If you have a few hours before an onward connection, check the airport shuttle bus into the centre too.
What specifically goes wrong on this route
TZL is a low-cost airport with flights at unusual hours, so you may well land when public transport is not running. That is normal, and it is why so many taxi companies operate here — but it also means the price rises more easily when the choice is thin. Know the bracket in advance. If you are going beyond Tuzla, say so immediately: that is no longer this ride but an intercity one at an entirely different price.
