Jablanica is a small place on the same Neretva corridor, about 20 km downstream from Konjic, and it has a railway station on the Sarajevo–Mostar line. People stop here for two things: the turquoise lake and the Battle of the Neretva museum with its famously destroyed bridge, and for the row of roadside restaurants that made the town synonymous with spit-roast lamb.
Nearly everything here happens along the main road rather than in a town centre, so distances are short and taxi demand is small and predictable. For its size the town has a decent number of companies and some run around the clock, which is not typical at this scale.
What to sort out before you pay
If you are getting off the train specifically for the museum or the lake, have a number saved before you arrive — there is not necessarily a car sitting outside the station. Anything further up the lake or towards Rama is out-of-town work and priced as a total agreed in advance.
