Estimated taxi/transfer price, journey time and how to book.
Blagaj is barely ten kilometres southeast of Mostar, famous for the Tekija (dervish monastery) built against the cliff at the source of the Buna - one of Europe's strongest karst springs. The ride is short and often combined with Počitelj or Kravice in one outing.

How to book & pay
Call a local taxi company, use the Moj Taxi app, or pre-book a private transfer (best for airports and long trips). Agree the price before you leave. For inter-city trips the meter is often not used. Bring cash in BAM; card is not guaranteed.

What the drive is actually like
Blagaj is a few kilometres southeast of Mostar, at the source of the Buna beneath a cliff, where the Ottoman-era dervish lodge stands. The drive is short, through Mostar's outskirts and then open country — about twenty minutes in normal traffic.
For such a short hop the meter applies, but if you want the driver to wait and bring you back, agree a fixed price with waiting. Many combine Blagaj and Počitelj in one loop - ask for a price covering both.
What specifically goes wrong on this route
The question that matters is not the fare out but the way back. Blagaj is small, and the car that drops you will not be there when you are done — waiting for a passing taxi at midday in summer is not a plan. Book it with waiting time included and say how long you intend to stay; an hour to ninety minutes is typical.
Alternatives
- Private transfer, door to door, fixed price, best with luggage or a group.
- Bus, cheapest for longer routes — check bus & train schedules.
- Rental car, flexible for multi-stop day trips.
