Tuzla Airport to Sarajevo (and beyond): every option, with 2026 prices
Tuzla International Airport (TZL) is a Wizz Air budget hub, so a lot of travellers land here intending to reach Sarajevo, about 120 km away. The airport is small and options are limited, which is exactly why it is worth planning before you land. Here is everything that works, cheapest first.
Tuzla Airport → Tuzla city (~10 km)
- Taxi: the flat rank price is around 30 KM (~€15). Anything much higher is an overcharge - ask for the meter or agree the price first. Cash (KM) only.
- Local bus #11: about 2.50 KM, from Dubrave Gornje (~800 m walk from the terminal), every couple of hours. Slow but cheap.
See the route page: Tuzla Airport → Tuzla city.
Tuzla Airport → Sarajevo (~120 km, ~1h45)
This is the big one. Three ways to do it:
| Option | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Centrotrans bus | One or two people on a budget | |
| Private transfer / taxi | ~€80–100 per car | Groups, luggage, late arrivals |
| Rental car | varies | Onward road trips |
For one or two travellers, the bus is by far the cheapest and perfectly comfortable. A private transfer only makes sense for a group or an awkward arrival time. A metered taxi for 120 km is not practical - these trips are always a fixed agreed price. See Tuzla Airport → Sarajevo.
Paying and avoiding overcharges
- Carry cash in BAM (KM). Cards are not guaranteed; euros may be accepted but confirm the rate (it is fixed: 1 € = 1.95583 KM).
- Agree the total before you leave for any transfer. For the short airport→city ride, ask for the meter.
- There is no Uber or Bolt in Bosnia. The local app is Moj Taxi, though it often fails for foreigners - keep a dispatch number handy. Best taxi apps in Bosnia →
